Your Dream Job

If you were to describe your dream job, how would you do it?  For some, it would be the opportunity for creative expression. Others might describe it as the opportunity to solve problems and innovate.  And for others, it might be the opportunity to help other people.  Maybe, for you, it's a combination of all those qualities.  However you describe your dream job, I think we can all agree that finding meaning and significance in your work is important.

You may not have found your "dream job" yet but most of you have some sort of job... whether it is out in industry, working as an entrepreneur, or caring for your family.  And while many people look at work as a necessary evil, I want to encourage you that your work has meaning.  And, even more importantly, your work is a gift from God.  That's right - a gift from God!  I know there may be days where it is hard to see that truth, but it doesn't make it less true.  In fact, the proof can be found throughout the Bible.

This week, we'll be looking at what the book of Proverbs has to say about work and laziness.  The types of jobs people work may have changed since when Proverbs was written but the wisdom as it applies to work and laziness is as applicable as ever.  I hope you can join us as we study this important and relevant topic.
