You Were A Part of God's Work in 2024

We've reached the final Sunday of 2024. This is a week affectionately referred to as “Youth pastor Sunday.” I’ll share a little more on that later. Hands down, 2024 was the most growth we have experienced as a church. So here, at the end of the year, I want to reflect on how God has grown Arborway in 2024. Let's look at it by the numbers.
  • 53 church services.
  • 5 new believers Baptized!
  • 6 volunteer outreach teams from around the U.S. hosted.
  • 5 college interns served this summer.
  • 100+ school supplies given away.
  • 21% average growth in church attendance.
  • 60+ average attendance on Sundays.
  • 84 was our highest attended Sunday.
  • 70 on Easter.
  • 72 on Christmas Eve.
  • 87 connect cards.
  • 104 first-time guests in 2024.
  • 92 kids were registered for Basketball Nights.
  • 3 free movie nights and gave away untold pounds of popcorn, candy, and soda.
  • 250 pounds of ice made 1100 snow cones at Open Streets.
  • $5,816 given to missions.
  •  1 new building.
And that barely scratches the service or what God did in 2024. I am confident that God will be at work in Arborway just as much in 2025. I love our church, and I hope you will continue to be a part of God’s work in Jamaica Plain.

As I said, tomorrow is national youth pastor Sunday. It’s called that because the lead pastor usually wants to take off a Sunday after Christmas and gets the youth pastor to preach. We don’t have one of those yet, but we are having a special guest speaker!

I am happy to invite Matt’s dad, Paul Fleming, to speak this Sunday. He is one of the most gifted evangelists I know. I pray you will join us on this final Sunday of 2024!
